Jerry Levin is a former CNN network journalist. He writes on nonviolence, with an emphasis on the Middle East and in particular Palestine and Israel.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://cpt.org/node/59/#3 )〕 In 1984 he was kidnapped and held hostage by Hezbollah.〔 He escaped after eleven and a half months in captivity due to the nonviolent behind the scene efforts of friends and colleagues organized by his wife, Sis Levin.〔〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.jsu.edu/news/jan_june2007/02272007e.html )〕 Of Jewish descent, Levin converted to Christianity during his captivity.
